A Renewal Weekend is more than a program. It is a ministry in which a team of Christian lay visitors come to your church to share their faith in Jesus Christ and work with you in strengthening your personal relationship with Him. We have found that not only is our personal relationship with Jesus Christ strengthened, but congregations as a whole focus on coming closer together in their ministry as the result of being "sparked" through Lay Renewal. |

These visitors are ordinary
men, women, and youth who have encountered the living Christ.
They are not perfect or saintly, but have been called by God to
minister to fellow Christians by sharing the joy, love, and power
of the Risen Christ. They are still growing, learning how to
witness, learning how to pray, learning how to minister in small
groups, and learning how to put their faith to work in their daily
lives. They are active in their own local
churches.

The visiting
lay witnesses will come with an attitude of love and
acceptance. They will witness by listening as well as
speaking. They will not pressure anyone, but will seek to
communicate love and understanding. They do not come to give
answers, but to share honestly what God has done and continues to
do in their lives. Their spirit of witness is gracious and
positive. |

The visiting
lay witnesses stay in homes as guests of local church
members. They travel at their own expense to the hosting
congregation.
